#TheEyesHaveIt

Updated: Mar 21, 2021

The times - less makeup, more comfortable work-at-home outfits and a different pace. With masks and other facial coverings also worn these days, our eyes have become the center of attention. What are some ways to highlight these windows to our soul?

Skincare

Skin care products formulated for use on skin around the eyes target specific concerns not necessarily noticed or bothersome on other areas of the body. Depending on the ingredients, an eye cream can have moisturizing, antioxidant or anti-inflammatory effects. An eye cream can also reduce puffiness, brighten the skin or reduce the appearance of fine lines in the area.

An eye skin care product can be started anytime by an adult, although more mature skin with aging changes such as skin laxity, fine lines, dull tone or uneven pigmentation may benefit more from its use and see more improvement with consistent application overtime.

Need some guidance on examples to combat puffiness and dullness? We offer in-person and virtual consultations and would be happy to create a customized skincare plan with you.

There's a treatment for eyelashes..?!

Latisse® is a topical medication that can enhance the length and amount of upper eyelashes. The science behind this medication shows the results of longer, darker and fuller upper eyelashes when it is used consistently over time.

This eyelash enhancing topical is a medication though, so a consultation with a physician is needed to determine the safety and appropriateness for an individual before use.

Injectable treatments

Skin dullness, fine lines and dark under-eye circles can make the eyes appear with less energy or radiance - and this is not reflective of how you feel inside.

Injectable treatments can be performed to soften wrinkles around the eyes. They can also be used to hydrate the skin, giving it a brighter and more refreshed look. Hollowing and shadows in the under eye region can be improved with minimally invasive, minimal downtime injectable options.

Neuromodulators and dermal fillers can be preventative and thoughtful strategies to offset early changes to collagen and elastin affecting skin texture, hydration, tone and volume. Given that the skin around our eyes is one of the thinnest in the body, injectable treatments can be effective reparative and maintenance approaches overtime.

Energy-based sculpting devices

Skin laxity around the eyes can make them look heavy, tired and puffy. Non-surgical, non-invasive techniques using focused ultrasound technology can create a brow lift and tighten skin in this region.

Shape and refine naturally with a science-backed treatment, and virtually no downtime.

Not sure which options are right for you? A cosmetic consultation can help determine a tailored and conservative program to help make the eyes - intricately connected to the world around us - bright and defined once more.
